Bridgetown, Barbados, February 10, 2015: Guardian Group, through its Life, Health and Pensions (LHP) arm, Guardian Life of the Caribbean recently recognized some of its top achievers for 2014 at its kick-off event for the New Year.
Blast off 2015 seeks to bring together the joint forces of staff and sales force of the company in an event that serves to motivate, provide dialogue and cement the goals and objectives to be reached for the upcoming year.
The Guardian Life of the Caribbean branch has grown over the last 10 years since entering the Barbadian marketplace. The branch boasts of a salesforce of over 20 agents who are well poised to provide insurance solutions to the people of Barbados.
For 2014, the Branch was able to achieve its targets through the determination of its team led by Branch Manager, Mr. Amado Marcano. Mr. Marcano emphasized at the event the importance of aiming high to achieve one’s goals and seeking at all times to make improvements. Mr. Marcano expressed his joy at leading his team and reiterated the point that when you focus on the basics you will rise to the top.
Top Achievers for the Branch were Mr. Timothy Nicholls who was awarded Agent of the Year as he had the highest Annual Premium Income (API) as well as persistency of business greater than 90%. The “Apptivity” award was given to Mr. Roger James who sold the most applications with a persistency of business of more than 95% and more than 40 applications. The Unit of the Year was the Cyril Mayers Unit who qualified after amassing more than 200 applications and API over $300,000 with a persistency of business of more than 85%.
