Guardian Group Launches New Service To Clients

Bridgetown, March 1, 2018:  Guardian Life of the Caribbean has embarked on a series of operational changes geared towards improving not only operational efficiencies in the delivery of Group and Individual Health insurance, but to also translate these efficiencies to enhance the customer experience.  The launch of the new service called easiClaim (Easy Access Service for Insurance Claims) seeks to enhance and bring about unparalleled service excellence to policyholders.

Manager, Administration (Barbados), Guardian Life of the Caribbean, Mrs. Linette Mapp stated that the company was extremely happy to offer this service as it will compliment Guardian Life’s health plan and improve client accessibility to benefits.  She pointed out that though these services are not new in the insurance industry, easiClaim is a cutting edge service which allows health care providers on Guardian Life’s Preferred Provider Network, Provisor (formerly Nemcare) with a swipe of a card, to access patient eligibility information and directly submit claims.

Mrs. Mapp further reiterated that as a Pan Caribbean insurer, it is vital that Guardian Group delivers on the core proposition of insurance, which is to provide that financial peace of mind to clients.  The easiClaim system has already been rolled out in Trinidad and Tobago and similarly it is the intention to have ease of access to this service by clients and potential clients in Barbados.

The key benefits of the new service encompass reducing the paperwork associated with processing claims and a faster payment of services.   easiClaim also allows for on-the-spot processing and management of individual and family member claims and Provisor members benefit from real-time estimation of their out-of-pocket expenses, before services are rendered. 

As the name suggests, easiClaim is simple, patients simply present their card and with one swipe, they can receive estimates for eligible services.  Once agreed, a patient’s claim, will be electronically submitted through the easiClaim system.
